BAMBOO ISLAND (KOH PHAI), NORTH OF PHI PHI DON

A big, big favorite for this small island accessible only by long tail boat from Phi Phi Don. Book at least three hours, nearly an hour is necessary to go to Bamboo Island.

Here the landscape contrasts sharply with the rocks of Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. No mountains, just a long white sand beach bordered by turquoise water, a small bar, a few places to pitch a tent and that's all. Paradise, pure and pristine.

It is very far from the busy Maya Bay, which is closer to Phi Phi Don and therefore more popular. But beware: there are many tourists in high season, we recommend you go early morning or late afternoon.
